Mystery shopping has been around for more than 70 years but many people don’t know of this type of service. As you discover, mystery shopper produces a little bit of income, and gives you a chance to improve business overall customer satisfaction. Working with a company as a mystery shopper, you will have a path for getting out and earning some income.

Every mystery shopper has the same purpose to increase a company’s sales, reduce risk of danger, making employees more attentive of the customer, and satisfaction of customer. This is done by a special process in which the mystery shopper would handle an assignment, go to the business namelessly, and collect all the required information then completes a form, submitting it to the company. In turn, this company will examine the information, followed by a plan to the customer on improving performance.

A mystery shopper will be repaid for his/her services in several ways as the hospitality field, such as hotels, restaurants, or fast-food places. For example, you might be asked to shop a restaurant, which in return, would reimburse you for your meal up to $20 to $50, depending on the price of the menu. Keep in mind that some assignments provide the mystery shopper both, reimbursing for a service or product purchased with a small fee.

Mystery shopper should be honest, confidential, and having a high level of honor. You would also able for transportation, speak English and complete the shop secretly. Sometimes, a company will provide mystery shopper a cell phone or digital camera. In most cases, it is also required that the age of mystery shopper should be 18 or 21 years minimum.

Good communication and listening skills is also an important criteria for the mystery shopper and you need to present yourself in a professional manner. Many times, there is a need to become an actor as if you were sent to a jewelry store and looking engagement rings, you might need to make believe that you are going to be engaged.
